  • 1.  Protocol: for labeling subject lines

    Posted 07-16-2013 13:52
I think one of our goals by the end of this weekend should be to clearly define some basic protocol for how to label subject fields before all of this goes out to the public.  I know we will have a search function, but even that will eventually generate tons of unnecessary leads if we don't have some kind of methodology.  Perhaps starting with a main title/area followed by a short brief with addition detail. (Example:  Costumes - rental options for Beauty and the Beast).  Perhaps only have a date in the subject line if it is you know the life of the topic will be limited to that year/stretch of time. Thoughts?

Erik, you are exactly right, labeling the subject line clearly is very important to ensure efficient searches. You have provided a great example of a well-defined subject line. Once the community is available to the public, it might be difficult to enforce this type of  protocol, but we can all lead by example and provide friendly tips/advice to help others navigate!
