I would like to propose teaching several classes of Theatre 1 and one audition-grade (2.75)-attendance based class for Theatre 2 & 3.  I would like this advanced class to be two class periods long with student option to take both hours or one of these hours.  In this class, students would perform one short production each quarter.   I am finding after school rehearsals to be more and more difficult for students to attend on a regular basis (ie-no ride, jobs, taking care of siblings-my school is low income).

Has anyone had any success with this?  Can anyone give me pros and cons to this idea before I address it to the principal?
