Most theatrical drapery needs to be taken down and cleaned. They will probably shrink a few inches even if dry-cleaned. Be sure to get certification that they were treated for fire resistance and file the certificate in a safe place and make a copy and have the administration and custodial department file it also. Certificates are easily lost.
Most new drapery has the certificate sewn into the drapery.
