    I am looking for suggestions for a couple of fun short plays for young audiences (1st-4th grade).  We will be traveling these shows, performed and rehearsed in my advanced classes (2-4m 5-6f), and would prefer simple sets and costumes.

    The Clowns Play - Bain - Dramatic Publishing

    and

    Many Moons - Thurber

    come to mind immediately. Costuming can make it fun, but a few rehearsal blocks and props are all you will need.
