Digital Delivery for instructional materials

  • 1.  Digital Delivery for instructional materials

Hi all.  My wife Marti and I produce the DVD/CD-ROM instructional series Practical Technical Theatre, and are looking into digital delivery systems for paperless schools.  We are looking at 2 options...streaming, and downloading (with options for a 1, 2, or perpetual license).  We'd really appreciate any feedback from paperless schools who are taking delivery of instructional materials using either of these options.

If you could let us know the following, it would help us make a choice of which system to use.  If your district uses digital delivery of materials,

    1.  How many schools in your district uses digital delivery?

    2.  Is it streaming, downloads, or another type of system?

    3.  Does your district pay for streaming / downloadable video and support materials to every student's laptop or digital device?  Are there any delivery problems with the system your district uses?

    4.  Are there any things we should include to make your job easier when using digitally delivered instructional materials?  Any other comments?

We'll still offer durable media (DVD/CD-ROM), but want to be able to deliver materials to districts as they switch over to digital fulfillment.  It's really expensive to set up digital fulfillment, and we want to make sure we can do this and still keep the cost to districts  affordable.  Messaging us would probably be the best way to keep clutter off the list-serve.

    We really appreciate any input!
