I directed The Government Inspector last spring. I loved working on it! I found a good translation and modernized the style a bit. I also made our Mishka a Masha and staged a kind of Commedia style flirtation scene between her and Osip (the man servant). We also used alley style staging, which worked very well.  The play can be very wordy at times, so a good translation is key. Let me know if I can be of help in any other way.
