Just read a new show and thought you might want to hear about it!
"Does my Head look Big in This?" by Jeff Gottesfeld and Elizabeth Wong Based on the award winning YA novel by Randa Abdel-Fattah
new drama (with lots of comedy) approx. 68 pages - published by Dramatic Publishing
The play follows Amal a typical suburban HS student who chooses (after a few scenes) to start wearing a Hijab (hence the somewhat sarcastic title - an obvious, but funny reference to "Does my butt look big in these jeans"). The characters are well written and accessible and the situations are particularly timely... some may find it a bit didactic, but I loved it!!! You should all get a copy and think about producing it! (We're talking about adding it to the season in the Spring or next year!)
