In the fall we host the RoleAbout Theater Festival at Mission Viejo High School. This year it is Nov 7th and we have a category for solo song and duets. Our emphasis is on creating a role (thus the name Role About) and in the musical theater solo and duets the interpretation and understanding of the character in the song is part of the rubric. We also have film monologues and scenes as a category along with cold reading. You can also try the Fullerton College Theater Festival in March which has a musical theater category.

Hi everyone!
Aside from the DTASC Festival and the Cal State Fullerton festival, what are some other competitions for high school students? We are particularly strong in musical theatre and we are not very strong in classical or Shakespearean material. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
