Summer Camp Programs

    Dear friends,

    I'm trying to accumulate a nice list of Summer Camp and College Prep programs for some of my theater students. Do you have any to recommend? I'm based in Va, but am looking locally, nationally and internationally.

    You should check out www.lovewell.org!

    Lovewell is a workshop held in the USA and Europe. In three weeks students will write and perform an original full length musical. This program is great for all students, especially musicians and writers.

    I run a camp annually the third week of July. Resuming again July 2016. Pine Creek Theatre Summer Academy. website with info. March of 2016 morning, half-day, M-Th Pine Creek Theatre Home

    We will do a 4th-6th group  and a  7th-9th group with a variety of workshops. Also a college audition clinic for 10th-12th grades on the Th afternoon and all day on Friday of the same week.

    You can access our annual Directory of Summer Theatre Programs in the digital Dramatics back issue archive. Log in and click through the Dramatics link on the home page. That will open the digital edition of the most recent issue. To open the archive, click the yellow box at the far left end of the toolbar. The most recent summer directory was published in February 2015.

    We just ended our two-week High School Drama Institute at Catholic University in Washington, DC (which is why today I have the time to browse the Open Forum!). Our students gave us great reviews on their experience. Here's the university web page: CUA High School Drama Institute
