I have heard of stage manager and I thought of using to train my stage managers...assuming they may use it later on in university. Do you like it? What are its advantages and disadvantages in your opinion.

Well I think an easy program for the ipad and for tech use is Google Docs, it can do a lot and I use it for paperwork and rehearsal reports and such things. But I am a stage manager so the apps I use are stage management one's. I like to use Virtual Stage Manager. A lot of my friends in the choreography world and directing world use Stage-Write.
Hope this gets you started!

Subject: Best Apps for use during productions/class
Does anyone use any specific apps that they feel are useful for their students during production or class? I am looking at getting an iPad to use during productions and class for costume and prop inventory as well as assorted production lists. I have found a couple but don't know if they are worth the purchase. Students will learn how to use these programs so I'm looking for some good ones. We are in the age of technology so they might as well use it.
Ones i I have found but have no experience or feedback on are ShowTool, Theatre Blocking (which is for android only), pocket Call Sheet
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
