    Can 12 Angry Jurors be done as a one act play?

    The thing about the show is that it is a steady build of logic; leave part of it out and the logic breaks down, as does the dramatic build. It is a shortish play with a run time around 1 hour 15 minutes. Are you looking at it as a festival piece or a full performance?

    I agree.  If you change the play then you are making it your voice instead of the playwright's story.  I lived through this story a couple of years ago except the defendant was a Cambodian refugee and one of the jurors was a Vietnam Vet.  What is said behind closed doors was an eye-opener.  I hope you will still perform the play if your students are capable of doing it justice.
