  • 1.  Student Idea Exchange

Hello All! The Georgia Thespian STOs are interested in leading an idea exchange for students in small groups this weekend. Does anybody have positive experiences with that so they could help us get a good idea of how to set it up?

We figured we would split them up into groups of about six and give them a list of questions to each answer individually like "what is your favorite thing your troupe does during the year?"

    Any other good question ideas?

    Hi Maggie,
In terms of set up, one technique I have used to keep the session engaging is to create stations of flip charts around the room and have the small groups rotate from one chart/question to the next, so they are physically moving in between questions.  The groups discuss each question and capture notes on the flip charts.

    Good luck this weekend!

    Hi,

I'm attaching a document we use to facilitate breakout sessions for our Summer and Fall Thespian Leadership Conferences. There are some questions to use to gather ideas from each troupe about their traditions, inductions, etc.

    Hope it helps.
