Depends on the administration. I'm waiting to do The Drowsy Chaperone down the line, and think there's probably a ton of things that administration might baulk at: the Aldopho song, the alcohol, the references to the Aviatrix being a lesbian, the idea of getting folks to cheat on each other...but! It is a comedy. Peter Shaffer's 'Black Comedy' has many of the same potential 'issues,' but our administration was leery only about some mild curse words.
Consistency is awesome!

We are a fairly conservative high school and have always been asked to request edits for various things within the shows we do. We did Drowsy about three years ago with no edits and the one and only concern that was expressed by an audience member was regarding the references to alcohol consumption.

Hello,
Thinking about producing The Drowsy Chaperone next year. Has anyone had any negative feedback with the "Message From a Nightingale" song? Ten years ago I wouldn't even think to ask, but today...different story.
Thanks.
