    I was talking with a student tonight who was asking me what my "elevator speech" was. He was asking me to share it to use it as a template. 

    I am interested to know what everyone's elevator speeches are! Either about Thespians or the importance of theatre education!

    As staff, we try to use the information on our "About Us" page:

    When someone I know asks me about my job and EdTA, this gives me the information to quickly explain that we support the theatre education field by honoring student achievement, supporting educators, and working to influence public opinion by advocating the value of theatre education.

    If they are still curious and want to know more, I give them specific examples about our publications, events that we host, how students earn their way into ITS, participation in Advocacy Day, etc.
