Does anyone have a simple yet visually effective design for a torture rack?  Pugsly is mounted, upright, on the rack and stretched for the song "Pulled".
Ideally, the rack would be mobile.
Can't wait to hear your great ideas!

I will try to look for a photo to send but we had a wedge shaped frame with two rolled barrel type things at the top and bottom; they were stationary but when draped over with the metal chains (and we used plastic ones that were painted due minimize noise) and had our Pugsley extend his arms and legs, it looked good.

We just closed the show. We made the rack on a 4x8 flat propped up against a wall on a platform. There were ropes that went behind and down under a platform where a techie pulled on the ropes, as Wednesday used a free standing crank. It was pretty convincing. The flat then became the table top for Full Disclosure. ------------------------------ Lisa Houston Pennington NJ ------------------------------

    Hi Lisa,

I'd like to know you constructed the free standing crank!

Addams Family is such fun. An easy wagon rack for us was a four by five wagon with a 7 foot solid flat secured vertically midway with cuffs at the bottom for shackles and shackles on chains for hands to easily slip through. The chains went up through circular metal rings up top and over the edge down the back of the flat where crew was ready to 'pull'. Very simple but effective. Wednesday had a free standing ratchet type switch. At the end of the scene crew simply floated Pugsley off the stage.
