I've taken students to AHSTF three times and brought an original show each time. When you are selected, it is your program that is selected, not the show, so it is better to apply for and be accepted to the program first. There is plenty of time to write your show after selection, so you will know exactly how many students you are taking and what their skills are.

I am interested in taking our theatre students to the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We would like to write an original script and perform it. I have never been to the Festival and am looking for advice and suggestions as to how to do this. Do we write the script first, then register and submit it? What would you suggest as to length?
