    The Thespian Festival will offer student-only training in counterweight rigging procedures on Thursday, June 23. The training session will be held at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater at 114 E Kirkwood Ave, Bloomington, IN. 

    Limited to sixteen participants, the students will receive training in:

    1. System components
    2. Procedures for using your counterweight system
    3. How to safely load and unload counterweight arbors and battens
    4. Terminations (knots, wire rope clips, and compression sleeves)
    5. Documentation
    6. Rigging Inspections
    7. Hanging drops/drapes
    8. Working loads
    9. ANSI Standards (Standards for Counterweight Rigging)
    10. Hardware

    Trainers: Brian Clausen (IATSE 470), Kristi Ross-Clausen (IATSE 470), Tyler DeLong (Delong Rigging Solutions), and Dana Taylor (IATSE 102)
