  • 1.  Covid and audience rules and capacity

We are counting down to our first musical since Covid - hooray! As we get ready to sell tickets, I would like to know how others are handling audience seating this year. We require everyone attending to purchase tickets in advance and wear masks at all times.

Do you sell a certain percentage of seats?
Do you require distancing in rows or empty rows?
Do you let audience members choose their seats or assign them for distancing?

I would appreciate hearing what you are doing!

    Thank you,
    Laura

Our state guidelines have changed many times and  currently do not have capacity limits but do require 6 ft between "family groups", which for us is 2 empty seats. We do not have reserved seating, so we came up with the simple solution to hand out paper "seating spacers" to be placed on the two empty seats required between groups. One note is that our 6ft is nose to nose not shoulder to shoulder.
