Last weekend I had the pleasure of
attending Indiana Thespian Festival in snowy Vincennes! As soon as I deplaned I
met up with Kentucky Chapter Director/EdTA rep Carolyn Greer and two Kentucky
STOs, Tucker Greer and Hayden Elliott, who would also be helping out throughout
the weekend. Here’s a picture of Hayden, Tucker and I hanging out at Indiana
Thespian Festival:
We arrived the Friday festival began at the beautiful Red Skelton theatre at Vincennes University right before opening ceremonies began. After the short kickoff, I met up with the Indiana STO and we spent the evening planning for a fun scavenger hunt that thespians would take part in the next day. The next morning we planted clues and riddles all over the campus; thespians who solved the puzzle entered in a drawing to win a special prize basket. Everyone had a great time participating in the scavenger hunt. Here’s a shot of us hanging out at the scavenger hunt table:
I
also got to teach a fun Psychology of Leadership workshop with a wonderful
group of around 30 thespians. I snapped some shots of them participating in an
interactive leadership activity:
The
next day we watched an amazing closing ceremonies before the Kentucky reps and
I headed back to the airport in Evansville, Indiana. Indiana Thespian Festival
was such a fun experience, and I loved meeting so many gifted and kind
thespians over the weekend. Special thanks to Chapter Director Anne Hileman,
along with the rest of the Indiana adult board, and the Indiana STOs for making
the festival a success. Thanks so much to Hayden Elliott, Tucker Greer, and
Carolyn Greer as well for serving with me last weekend! Can’t wait to see
everyone in Lincoln again!
