2017 Jhon Marshall/International Thespian Officers’ Outstanding Achievement Scholarships awarded to Serena Froehlich and Bailey Heppler: The International Thespian Society annually awards this $1,000 scholarship to two Thespians who exemplify the ideal of the International Thespian Society. Judges are looking for originality of service, contributions of talent and service to the positive image and ideals of the International Thespian Society and theatre education, and benefit of service to productions, program, school, community, and peers.

Congress Gives the Arts a Funding Boost: Congress has reached a bipartisan agreement on a bill to fund the nation’s federal agencies and programs for the remaining balance of the current FY2017 fiscal year, which ends on September 30, 2017. (Americans for the Arts Action Fund)
