Community Tips: Locating Community Library Attachments

By Ginny Butsch posted 07-29-2019 14:38

With around 800 entries in the Open Forum library, it's easy to get confused or overwhelmed when you're trying to locate a specific item, like that acting rubric you vaguely remember someone sharing years ago. Have no fear, there are several ways to locate attachments shared within the Open Forum Community Library

First, sign into your EdTA account on the schooltheatre.org website.

Click on “Community” in the blue navigation bar, then drop down to “Open Forum.”

Click on the “Library” tab.

By default, all items will appear alphabetically in “List View.”

In List View, you also have the option to sort the documents in the library by most recent, reverse alpha, most viewed, or file type.

Clicking on the folder icon will allow you to change it to “Folder View” which many people find easier to view at a glance. Here all the file names will appear in alphabetical order.

If you are looking for a specific library entry, or one on a specific topic, use the search feature on the blue navigation bar. The more general the search term, the more results will appear.

You can narrow down the search results by using the categories to the left of the search results.

User Content = content shared by other Community members (not official EdTA materials).

Page Content = official EdTA materials shared by EdTA Staff.

Choosing one of those options will then give you the choice to narrow it down even further, for example, to only Library Entries shared in the Open Forum community.

This should help you find just what you are looking for, but if all else fails, contact us at members@schooltheatre.org!
