This weekend I had the opportunity to travel to Cincinnati, Ohio with my fabulous ITO board. With all the snow we anticipated it to be chaos with us just arriving, but God was on our side and we all got their on time and safe. As soon as we hit the ground (possibly a slip here or there because of the snow) we were talking about our weekend of Festival planning.
Before all the fun really began, we caught up in our hotels about life and over dinner enjoyed each other’s company. I’m so glad we got to do that the first night because we were put to work the next day!
We hit home office the next day and got to meet with all the different departments and really got a feel on this huge, organized heart. From publications to marketing, we covered all the departments. We even got a tour of the entire building, which is actually a historical monument! Over mass communication about Community, Arts Advocacy, conferences to come, and alumni, we really came up with some innovative ideas and wonderful reforms for the future! There’s no place I would have rather been this weekend. We, as Thespians, are very blessed to have people in our organization that care about the future of theatre education.
Stay tuned!
Can’t wait to see you all in Lincoln!
