Howard Sherman is an arts administrator and writer based in New York. He has been interim director of the Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts since 2013. He was executive director of the American Theatre Wing from 2003 to 2011, and previously served as executive director of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, managing director of Geva Theatre, general manager of Goodspeed Musicals and public relations director of Hartford Stage Company, among many other positions. He is a regular columnist for The Stage in London and has written for many publications, including the online journal HowlRound, National Public Radio and American Theatre Magazine.
