Shelly Hudson studied Theatre at Dean College in Franklin MA and has held positions of leadership in arts organizations at both the regional and state level and is the recent recipient of the Vision and Tenacity Award from the NH Theatre Awards 2016. Hudson has spent most of her career in arts education and presentation through her work with the nonprofit youth theatre troupe The Performer's Playground which she founded 18 yrs ago as well as her newest venue Amplified Arts, a collaborative arts space in Downtown Claremont. Shelly also founded both the Dramatic Society at NMHS in 2001 and took over again in fall in 2017. NMHDA(Newport Middle High Dramatic Arts) mission is to elicit creative self expression, critical thinking and artistry through high quality theatre arts experiences for our early career artists, the NMHS student body and the community.
