LESSON PLANS! We had staff development at my school on some of the pros and cons and the best take away was using AI to create lesson plans. I came up with some great sub plans specifically. Such a time saver and could really benefit a new teacher. ------------------------------ Garry Tiller Theatre ...

I used to keep a file labeled "hate mail"...it kept me level! Thanks for sharing and godspeed with your theatrical endeavors. Respectfully, ...

We had a lot of fun with The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. Unit set...with some surprises and a bevy of fun characters. We cast a male as Helga and they were a hoot. Lots of great options. Hi Gai, Always enjoy you posts! Anyway, so many wonderful options, but wanted to chime in. I have had four students go through University of North Carolina School of the Arts and they are ALL working professionally. Everyone loved the experience and...the "proof is in the pudding" as my first principal ...

Hello, Once Upon A Mattress comes to mind. Such a fun show and great for a strong female lead. Since the King is mute, no worries about his lack of singing. My two cents! Hello! There are so many books & resources out there and it can be overwhelming. I suggest zeroing in on what speaks to you based on your needs. The best news is that you are going to a have a "leg up" on most secondary theatre teachers who typically have little to no expertise in the tech side. Count ...

Hello, I would touch it with a ten foot pole! (Couldn't resist!) But seriously, when I directed PIPPIN and ONCE UPON A MATTRESS (in which many young men wore tights) I put all specific requests on their individual costume plots. Most went with a pair of Speedos. No worries...no issues. Best, Garry ...

Yes! It was actually encouraged at my previous school which was a performing arts magnet school. It ticked all the boxes and didn't require the teacher to plan an “observation” lesson.
