I teach at a small private school. It looks like my high school class will be extra small this year - only about 5 students in a mix of grades. The personality mix is pretty extreme, too, with two students who are quite loud and boisterous and three students who are more quiet and introverted. Only one ...

I wound up performing Gathering Blue by Eric Coble (based on the book by Lois Lowry). It was a GREAT show. The cast has an optional ...

I had the same issue with my students this year. I wound up having an awesome Commedia Dell'Arte unit instead. It was great because they could work with masks and focus on physicality. I've read up on traditions for induction ceremonies. I am looking to find out what awards people give out beyond Inductions, Scholars, Honor Thespians and Best Thespian. My school has never had a theatre program before so this is our charter ceremony (even though I chartered a troupe in October we ...

For scenes though, Lazzi's are a lot of fun - here's a list of a few examples I have the kids try out (pulled from various ...

Hello! I am looking for suggestions for challenging 10 minute scenes for middle school students. I have a great series of 10-minute scenes but many of them are about sex, drugs or have heavy swear usage and my admin team doesn't really love that but I am struggling to find challenging scenes that are ...
