As has been echoed in most of the threads, safety is foremost we're educators not commercial producers and directors looking to maximize profits, we're trying to educate and provide experiences before our students move on to their next journeys. It's great to hear educational groups are working with ...

Recording live is another issue, but again, unless you're using a multi-camera shoot what are you showing your audience other than one person's perspective from a seat in you theater, usually ...

Hi Charles, You may want to see if one of the universities within driving distance (UMass at Falmouth? Providence?) would send an instructor as a recruiting opportunity. I had CSU Fullerton reach out to me in September and it was great. You also have the Provincetown Playhouse within range. But for ...

Dear All, There is a play title that is escaping me and I am hoping one of you can help me with it. I thought it was called Shakespeare’s Leading Ladies, or The Women of Shakespeare, or The Leading Ladies of Shakespeare but I am not finding any of these names with Samuel French or the Dramatist. It’s ...

If you want to teach in the public school system now I would recommend taking the English credential tests; you will not need to take a future Theater credential. Many theater teachers also start out as English/Theater due to budgets and initial numbers, so without the English portion you may find yourself ...

Although I understand many people store materials in their homes, I'm not a fan of this because you truly blur the lines between work and home. I also imagine they aren't looking to get you a portable shed or they would have offered. So you may want to see if there is a community or children's theater ...

We just used rear projections for Legally Blonde and they worked very well. Some of the keys we needed to be aware of, and I assume you will too, were: having enough distance behind the projector(s) for the throw as well as for the actors to pass behind, the quality of the screens (vinal), the luminus ...
