We just finished Matilda. I broke down the entire show / cast so we knew the bare minimum number of actors needed. If you would like, I can share it with you (it's a Google Sheet). If so, send me your email! ------------------------------ Cynthia Scherer Teacher Spearfish High School SD --------- ...

We used Wagner Costumes last year for our production. We did a mostly whole package for about $2600; however, they might be willing to rent just the enchanted costumes. We rented all major enchanted creatures, the Beast, the enchantress, Gaston, Belle, Maurice, LeFou, a lot of villager dresses & petticoats, ...

Has anyone ever made or done of a cutting of the play "David & Lisa" for a competition? (David and Lisa | Concord Theatricals). I saw on Concord's website that under suggested use is "Cutting Approved for Competition, Scene work, UIL Approved, Competition or audition material." I know if I pursue this ...

I've used animated projections from Broadway Media for two shows: Into the Woods & Beauty and the Beast. I believe they're the company MTI uses. They've run approximately $900 a show. ------------------------------ Cynthia Scherer Teacher Spearfish High School SD ------------------------------

Next year, I'll have 4 very solid and talented senior boys, 5 very talented and solid senior girls, and 2-3 each in the junior class. ...

I teach / direct in a small town in rural South Dakota. Our ticket prices are $5. While we've never sold out a show that's not a musical, the closest we came was with Don Zolidis's The Bold, the Young, and the Murdered (https://www.playscripts.com/play/2304). I still have staff members who talk about ...

Has anyone recently performed Anything Goes at the high school level? I watched it several years ago and enjoyed it. We are considering doing the show at our school this year but I just remembered the bits with the "Chinese" men and now I'm hesitant. We don't have a particularly diverse high school ...

Our budget is somewhat limited - probably a couple hundred dollars. We would need at least 3 headsets so I imagine we will end up with something not awesome. ------------------------------ Cynthia Scherer Teacher Spearfish SD ------------------------------

My assistant director and I are looking to purchase some sort of headsets to allow communication between backstage and our sound booth. We had some at one point but they required new batteries every 30 minutes becuase they wouldn't hold a charge and didn't always work so we've been relying on cell phones ...

I'm also interested in this. We've been experimenting with tiny LED lights on a thin copper wire with little success. Contacts don't present bright enough results. ------------------------------ Cynthia Scherer Teacher Spearfish SD ------------------------------
