I am interested in your bags!!! And your printing press. I am in Los Angeles but I would pay for the shipping of the bags and I’m curious how you created the press.
    Thank you.

    Hello Kristin and Rachel,
I am the Theatre Arts Program Director at Providence High School in Burbank, CA and we too are doing a production of Newsies. I would be interested in the bags, printing press and newspapers stacks as well.

Kristin, our production closes March 30th so perhaps we could share in the shipping cost to help each of our productions out a bit? I'm not sure when you open but if it's April then maybe a split could work?

    Thanks for any info!

In Virginia, reach out to ShenanArts (Staunton, VA), Stuarts Draft High School, and Spottswood High School. All have done NEWSIES in the past few years.

    Hi!

We used cardboard squares, corrugated cardboard, newsprint and a stamp made of hot glue that we rolled paint into. The squares got wrapped in newsprint(folded) and we painted the edges in matching paint. The corrugated stuff was also painted. It's kid of hard to explain. But it did work really well. Looked real from off stage. But it was time consuming.

I'm with a high school in Fairfax, VA and we are in need of a printing press prop for our upcoming show in late Jan/early Feb weekends. Is the press still available? Are you selling or renting it and what is the cost? What are its dimensions and weight? Would it fit in a pickup or do we need to get a box truck? Also, what costume items do you have? We are still looking for Medda (our actor is womens size XXL) and Katherine (our actor is womens size 2). We could also use some more bags, signs, etc. if the price is within budget. Thanks!
