Does anyone know the differences between the Off-Broadway Little Shop and the Broadway version? Is it just different orchestrations?

    Thank you!

I believe it is the off Broadway one is just a rock band pit- guitar, bass, keys, and drums.

The Broadway one is more of a typical full orchestration

The only difference is that they have expanded the orchestration.  The original show (off-Broadway) used the small rock combo.  I have produced this show three times in my career and always used the original orchestration (small combo).

The opening number ("Little Shop of Horrors") isnalso expanded, adding about a minute and a half. If you listen to the broadway revival you can hear the extra verses added. There are also a few other music changes, most in the underscore, and the act 1 finale is slightly expanded.

Just another bit I found from a musical theatre group I'm in:

Biggest difference is the opening number which was originally half as long.
Also the opening of act 2 is massively shorter and the end of act one is pretty different.

There are alternative keys for the dentist songs - the Broadway revival was higher than the original.

There's also a tango in "Mushnik and Son" that was not in the original, and the key is different.

Some of the urchins music has been beefed up.
