Greetings!  I am getting ready to cover the importance/role of headshots and resumes, as well as going over casting and what the director/casting director looks for in auditions.  More of the "business" side, vs. just a good monologue audition.  Students will be creating their own acting resume, as well as taking some headshots in class.

I'm looking for additional activities to go with this unit - I had a random idea of splitting the class into two and giving them a fictitious character breakdown.  On one day, Group A auditions for Group B and Group B "casts" the show.  Then on day two they switch.  That way they get an idea of how hard it is to cast a show and how it feels to be on the other side of the table.  Has anyone done anything similar that they'd be wiling to share?

Here are some pages that might be helpful from my book ACTING IS ACTION. I hope they help.
