My 8th grade English class puts on a play at the end of the year.  I have 5 boys and 5 girls but 2 will probably stage manage.  I have put on 32 plays over the years and am looking for something different thn the ususal slapstick comedy or agatha christie.  A comedy would still be the best for them.  Any ideas? (0pen to switching a female to male part or vice versa)

    Hi Karen,

What sort of running time (or time range) are you aiming for?

    Cheers,
    Jonathan

Sandy Asher has an adaptation of 'Romeo and Juliet Together (and alive) at Last' that's pretty great for middle level students.  http://www.dramaticpublishing.com/p1287/Romeo-and-Juliet—Together-(and-Alive!)-at-Last/product_info.html
