Hi!
For Jr musicals- we just did Seussical, Jr - when I first announced it kids were lukewarm. But once cast it became a favorite. Very fun and colorful.
Also James and the Giant Peach Jr was a blast. Lion King Jr the kids loooved. Little Mermaid Jr was fun too-those costumes almost killed me though. 😊
Full length- Addams Family? I'm currently doing 9 to 5 and am in love with the powerful messaging for females. Plus 4 strong female leads. Urinetown is a blast.
Good luck!

Subject: Suggestions for High School musicals next season
I am looking for two musicals – one junior type (shorter length) and one full length. Last spring I picked the perfect full length for my juniors (all strong singers and actors - okay dancers) and will have the same students again for their senior year. We did Fiddler on the Roof and the students loved traditional musical (excuse the pun) that was a little bit funny but had a serious under tone with a message that is still very relevant today. So the question is - what to do this season with a group of leads who are like Teveye's family?
The students have suggested Hello Dolly, and Drowsy Chaperone, but I am wondering what else is out there? We have also done Mary Poppins (a favorite), as well as, Freaky Friday & High School Musical (not favorites) with this same group. Thanks for your help : )
