Costume Inventory Database?

  • 1.  Costume Inventory Database?

Anyone have suggestions on how to inventory costumes online without investing in a company? Would it be something like a Google shared file? What would you recommend as software to use? I'd like to get things like a photo, size, and short description, things like that.
    Suggestions?

We used Google Drive. We added Description, Size, Condition, and any special notes. We used Excel.

We've looked into this but we are an Apple school, any plans for a Mac version?

I use Evernote.  We post a picture and description, it's free and awesome.  I also use it to gather production ideas together.

I use Costume Inventory Resources http://www.costumeinventory.com

I met Margaret (the owner) at the San Diego EdTA conference and she has been a great resource and help as we have tagged and categorized over 5,000 costumes in our shop.

I have an iPad that I use for everything and have an app called eStorage. I keep all of my inventory info here - costumes, props, scripts, consumables, stock set pieces. It's great.

Could you share more about this app? It sounds very useful! I found a couple different apps (e-storage, estorage), and I am unsure to which one you are referring. Thanks! ------------------------------------------- Ross Wheeler Yorkville IL -------------------------------------------

The icon is a box with some shapes popping out. The publisher is Kiwi Objects. It really does a lot of cool things, including tracking if it is lent out somewhere or if you are renting/borrowing from somewhere.

We've been using Airtable. It's an app and we like it.

I have been looking into using Airtable for our costume storage.  Did you start with a certain template or make your own from scratch? Thanks!

StageStock is a cloud-based inventory system that is multi-user and allows granular control of who is able to view, reserve, and check items in and out. You can easily share your inventory within your organization or outside your organization. We just launched our mobile apps this month.

Check us out at www.stagestock.com. The first 100 items in your account are free.
